Hello Le Show fans. I am dying to know who this singer is. Before Harry does his News of the Warm segment, he plays “Listen to the Warm” by a singer with a very beautifully shattered croon. I know the original song is by Rod Mckuen, but I want to know who this particular artist of this exact track is. The song came on approximately 44:32 into the 10-28-07 ‘edition’ of Le Show(I’m not sure of its time of other Le Show editions). If it is(the track Harry plays before each News of the Warm)by Rod Mckuen which album of his was this song from? I would also appreciate it if you can name any artist with a similar voice(Not like Mckuen of course). Thank you.

Thank you Steve. I was doubting myself about the singer earlier today because after about seven times of hearing it over and over, toward the end of the sound clip, before Harry goes on, it started to sound like Rod Mckuen; I realized the breathy, whisper-y voice of Mr. Mckuen. I’ll be sure to check out Glenn Yarbrough.

Hi again. I’ve just gotten more familiar with this forum. To my surprise this question was answered two months ago.
Answer I apologize for wasting a topic.

The artist is Glen Yarborough. Though I’m not certain, I’d bet it was from Glenn Yarbrough Sings the Rod McKuen Songbook .

Glenn Yarbrough (correcting my earlier spelling), by the way, was one of the original Limelighters, along with Alex Hassilev and Lou Gottlieb. I suspect that this group was more than slight inspiration for another more recent group called The Folksmen.

But that, of course, is all speculation on my part.
