Web site doesn't work at all without Flash

Guys: You must really hate me or something (can’t say as I blame you). The website now no longer works at all if Flash is unavailable. Please add a plain text fallback. |

Can you send us a screen shot of what you get? Also did you make sure to clear your cache? J |

The page is completely blank. I automatically flush my cache every time I exit Firefox, so I don’t think it’s cache related. |

Web sites built on Flash (as opposed to just using Flash here and there for this and that) need to be stricken from the planet. There’s no reason to do it other than for a designer’s self-stroke. It causes more problems than it solves. I notice a lot of famous folk tend to hire Web firms that create sites in all Flash. I assume they think they are getting the best that’s out there, since they’re paying more, but a site like this could be built on HTML in a few days and maintained by a college kid working part time. And it would be a better site, too. I will say it looks good. But then, it would look just as good in HTML, and people wouldn’t be infuriated trying to use it. Or trying to, you know, since this is the World Wide Web, LINK TO SOMETHING. |

I don’t know JAVA from FLASH but I do know that some websites require you to download these things (usually at no charge) in order to get the content. Otherwise you just get a bunch of error messages. Who wants that? Convergence hasn’t quite happened yet. |

Please add a plain text fallback! This completely unnecessary reliance on Flash is costing Harry audience. I would love to be able to listen to Le Show on my web-enabled cellphone, but mobile devices can’t support Flash. Your reliance on Real Audio .ram files instead of the more standard MP3 file/streaming format is also costing Harry listeners. Portable audio players (mp3 players) do not support Real Audio .ram files. The website developers are doing a disservice to Harry and his audience by setting up these completely unnecessary roadblocks to listening to Le Show. Again, please add a plain text fallback for non-flash users, and use the universal mp3 audio standard. This will allow far more people to listen to Le Show. Thank you. |
